Grant Park, Chicago – Sound Works Productions provided multifaceted audio system for the ITU Triathlon at Buckingham Fountain in Chicago’s downtown Grant Park on June 27th through 29th.
The main system covered 360° around the fountain, including the trade expo area, viewing grandstands, and finish line. In addition, a bi-directional point-to-point system using Shure PSM900 and helical antenna’s to pass audio send audio from the fountain across Lake Shore Drive to Queens Landing, where a secondary system was in use and sending audio back to the main area. A third system was placed at the south end of Grant Park.
Sound Works utilized over 30 loudspeakers to cover the three transition areas.
